Rockefeller Memorial Chapel is a landmark in the Chicagoland area.  At the request of John D. Rockefeller, the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel was designed to be the 'central and dominant feature' of the University of Chicago.  Remarkable features include a hand-carved organ, vaulted ceiling, and stained glass windows through which sunlight makes an imposing display upon the altar.    The Chapel also features a Carillon with 72 bells.  It is located on South Woodlawn Avenue between East 58th and E59th Streets.
